About the Venue - Mahatma Mandir:

Mahatma Mandir is one grand show of elegance, architecture and grandeur, designed with the intention to showcase the prosperity of Gujarat taking inspirations from the life and philosophy of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Spanning over an area of nearly 34 acre of land, it is one of the biggest convention centers of India.

Government of Gujarat wanted to develop Mahatma Mandir as a place of unity and development. Sand was brought in urns by representatives of all 18,066 villages of Gujarat and emptied it in the foundation of the Mahatma Mandir. A time capsule was buried under Mahatma Mandir containing history of state in 2010 at the ground breaking ceremony. The project was conceptualized by Government of Gujarat and opened to public by the then Hon’ble Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
