EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARDIAC SERVICES (EMCS)

This unique scheme is only available at our Institute. 
  • In EMCS scheme, any patient admitted to medical ICCU for a cardiac treatment will be provided immediate ‘life saving treatment’ without any advance payment for initial 24 hours (This EMCS scheme can be extended for 2-3 days without any advance payment in special cases.)
  • ‘First golden critical hour’ of cardiac emergencies like Acute Myocardial Infarction in which Thrombolysis / Primary Coronary Angioplasty with stent in Myocardial Infarction (PAMI) / Treatment for Acute Coronary Syndrome is very effective, if considered within 3-4 hours of acute heart attack.

 
Investigations Considered Under EMCS Scheme:

  • Pathology:CPK-MB, Troponin – I Quantitative (Cardiac Biomarkers), BNP, Hs-CRP, Troponin – T if required and all routine blood investigations.
  • Radio-Imaging: X-ray, CT Scan, CT Coronary Angiography, Ultrasound (USG), Doppler Study
  • Non-Interventional: ECG, 2D-Echo, Holter with pulse and BP monitoring if required.
  • Interventional: Coronary Angiography, CT Coronary Angiography (If required),CABG

 
Treatment Considered Under EMCS Scheme:

  • Oxygen / Ventilation
  • Fibrinolytic Therapy, Nitroglycerine, Antiplatelets, Statins, Anti-Hypertensive drugs, Drugs for Diabetes and other life saving cardiac treatment
  • Emergency Pericardial Tapping
  • Temporary Pacemaker (TPI)
  • Primary Angioplasty by Balloon Angioplasty (POBA)
  • Primary Angioplasty with stenting in Myocardial Infarction (PAMI)
  • Emergency CABG – Critical LMCA Disease
  • Emergency Embolectomy
  • Intra Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
  • Drug Therapy: Low Molecular Weight Heparin, GPIIa/IIIb Inhibitors (Aggramed)
  • Tissue Plasminogen Activator (TPA) – If required
  • Defibrillation for cardiac stimulation (DC)
  • Non cardiac treatment if required

MUKHYA-MANTRI AMRUTAM (MA) YOJNA

    • Government of Gujarat has started Mukhyamantri Amrutam Yojana where indoor treatment to BPL Card holders of Gujarat is provided free of cost where annual coverage up to Rs. 5 lacs for family is considered after showing MA card, as per rural, urban development criteria decided by Government of Gujarat.

      Note: After discharge: transportation (Rs. 300/- Patient) and free drugs (10 Days) are given.

MUKHYA-MANTRI AMRUTAM (MA) VATSALYA YOJNA

  • Free of cost indoor treatment to family having annual income less than Rs. 4 lacs where annual coverage up to Rs. 5 lacs for the family. Also include senior citizen person whose family having annual income upto Rs. 6 Lacs. Note: In current financial year 2017-2018, all urban and rural ASHAs(Accredited Social Health Activist), Reporters and  fix pay employees of class-3 & 4 appointed  by state government are also included under “MA Vatsalya” Yojana.

SCHEDULED CASTE (SC) CATEGORY

All Cardiac treatment including Cardiac Procedures and Cardiac Surgeries are done absolutely Free of Cost or at 50% concession to Scheduled Caste (SC) Patients of all over country (As per income criteria):

  • 100% free of cost if Annual income less than Rs. 1,20,000/- (Rural) and Rs. 1,50,,000/- (Urban)
  • If income is more than above mentioned amount then 50% concession is applicable

LOW INCOME GROUP (L.I.G.)

  • 50% concessional cardiac treatment to cardiac patients having family income less than Rs. 2 lacs per annum.
  • All Cardiac treatment including Cardiac procedures and Cardiac surgery are provided to the patient of the Gujarat State under Low Income Group Scheme (Annual Income up to Rs. 2 Lac per annum).

RASTRIYA SWASTHYA BIMA YOJNA (RSBY)

RSBY is a Health Insurance scheme launched by Ministry of Labor & Employment, Government of India. Duration of health insurance is one year which covers amount of Rs. 30,000/- for 5 members of BPL Family. Benefits are given to the beneficiary at special member hospital listed under RSBY scheme.

The Central Govt. Health Scheme is comprehensive health care to the CGHS Beneficiaries. The Central Govt. Health
Scheme is applicable to the following categories of people residing in CGHS covered cities:

  • All Central Govt. Servants paid from Civil Estimates (other than those employed in Railway Services and
    those employed under Delhi Administration except members of Delhi Police Force).
